Our Therapists

Michael provides counseling and other clinical social work services to adults, children, adolescents, and families.  His approaches include cognitive and behavioral therapy, positive behavior supports, social skills coaching, and generalist social work practice.  He also integrates methods from existential psychology and various mindfulness approaches, as well from other psychotherapeutic frameworks when appropriate.  Michael supports clients and their families in self-advocacy, creating positive and supportive family environments, and with working with outside resources.

Michael has his bachelor’s degrees in psychology and in consciousness studies, and his master’s degree in social work.  Through these degrees, he has background in a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches, and knowledge of a range of mental health disorders.  Michael has additional training in working with people with neurodevelopmental disorders through his master’s level internships, which included a LEND traineeship, which is a federally funded training program for training professionals to work with neurodevelopmental disorders.
